Jalan Wong Ah Fook is one of the main roads in Johor Bahru. It is today a one-way street, with traffic flowing in from Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar, and out at Jalan Gereja and Jalan Tebrau.

The namesake of Jalan Wong Ah Fook is a Chinese immigrant from Taishan in Guangdong Province, China. Wong Ah Fook (1837-1918) fled China at the age of 17 following repeated civil unrest in Southern China which eventually broke out as the Punti-Hakka Clan Wars of 1855-1867. Wong was one of the rags to riches stories, and was the most successful of the China-born immigrants of Johor Bahru.

Wong Ah Fook made his fortune through connection with the Johor palace, from which he obtained the right to build the official palace of Johor, or Istana Besar, and also receive lucrative government contracts. A piece of land covering ten lots was granted to him in 1892. On this land, Wong developed a settlement, Kampung Wong Ah Fook, which is the site of present-day Jalan Wong Ah Food. Wong's three eldest sons were also immortalised with road names, namely Jalan Siu Nam, Jalan Siu Koon and Jalan Siu Chin, all of which branching from Jalan Wong Ah Fook.

Wong Ah Fook passed away at the age of 82 and was buried at the Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng Chinese Cemetery in Singapore. The cemetery made way for urban development in 1979, and became the present-day Bishan Town. Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng continues to function as a funerary complex, with a memorial, two temples, an administrative block and a columbarium, at 50, Bishan Lane, Singapore 576498.
