Admiral Cheng Ho's Statue, Malacca

Statue of Admiral Cheng Ho (9 July 2005)

The Statue of Admiral Cheng Ho can be seen within the grounds of the Stadthuys. It is made of granite, and is said to be a life-style representation of the famous eunuch who commandered the Chinese fleet on voyages across the world.

The statue of Admiral Cheng Ho was erected to commemorate his arrival in Malacca in the 15th century, where he was said to have come into contact with the Sultan of Malacca.

Getting there

To visit the statue of the Admiral Cheng Ho, enter the Museum of History and Ethnography within the Stadthuys, and then make your way to the grounds behind the museum.
