(9 July, 2005)
The Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Fountain
(GPS: 2.19435, 102.24906) was erected in 1904 by the people of Malacca to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the reign of Queen Victoria
. Inscribed on the column of the fountain are the words "Victoria Regina 1837-1901", which denotes the reign of the monarch, followed by "Erected by the People of Malacca in Memory of a Great Queen, 1904". It is a reminder that the fountain was only completed three years after the green queen's passing, during the reign of Edward VII
