Qing Xin Lin Leisure and Cultural Village, IpohQing Xin Lin Leisure and Cultural Village, Ipoh (9 November 2015)

Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village (GPS: 4.56191, 101.1242; 清心嶺休闲文化村) is a tourist attraction in Ipoh, Perak. It is developed into a recreational area at the foot of looming karst outcrops and natural pools. The area was spruced up with chalets, eateries, souvenir shops and a meandering path that skirts around the lake.

First opened in August, 2014, Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village has begun to attract more and more local tourists. There are bicycles for rent, and you can have your photograph taken with period huts and an old rickshaw.

As you enter the park, you pass through a section with various signs. Pick the one that is most representative of yourself!

Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village is open daily from 9:30am to 5:00pm. It is closed on Sunday.

At a section of Qing Xin Ling, an art gallery has been fashioned out of the cavern under the limestone outcrops. On display there are old photographs of Ipoh. This being Ipoh, where there are caves, there are cave temples. And it's no exception here, for I see statues of deities and candles being lit as offering.

Qing Xin Ling has a scenic view of looming karst outcrops reflected against the pool. As we walked around it, we come upon various murals painted on the cliff wall. There are spots where natural spring water drips down over the rocks.

After exploring the park, we feel hot and thirsty, so we stopped at the food stall and ordered a cendol. When I saw it, I thought, "Aiyah, maybe not tasty." But turns out it was not too bad, especially on that hot day.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
