Restoran Choong Kee Pokok Besar (9 March, 2018)
Restoran Choong Kee Pokok Besar (GPS: 4.58237, 101.08574) is a hawker centre in Taman Hoover, Ipoh. Located along Jalan King, it is one of two adjacent hawker centres. There are many hawker stalls here, but the anchor tenant is the yong tau foo stall.
I made a visit to Restoran Choong Kee Pokok Besar following recommendations. When I got here, I could easily spot the yong tau foo stall, as it was doing such a good business. Across from that stall is a stall selling sio bak (Chinese roasted pork), and it too was getting a long line of customers.
My wife and I decided to have yong tau foo for lunch. The yong tau foo stall also sells assam laksa and koay teow soup, so we also ordered those. All the items were very tasty. I enjoyed this meal so much.
