Parit Buntar Datuk Kong Temple

The Parit Buntar Datuk Kong Temple (GPS: 5.12951, 100.49051) 藍帛古廟 is the main Chinese temple in Parit Buntar, Perak. It is built for the worship of the local guardian spirit. This is rather unusual, as in most places, the datuk kong is represented by a small shrine. It is located at the junction of Jalan Taiping and Jalan Padang.

Constructed in 1884, the Datuk Kong Temple is said to be the oldest temple in town. The main temple building faces the intersection of Jalan Taiping and Jalan Padang, with a spacious parking space in front of it. The temple is open daily, with its festive days falling on the 1st and 15th day of the lunar month.
