Gunung Gading National Park (GPS: 1.69054, 109.84583) is a national park in Lundu District, in the Kuching Division of Sarawak. Within the park is the 900-meter Gunung Gading. Sungai Lundu flows through the park. There are waterfalls on its upper reaches.

At Gunung Gading National Park, one can come across the Rafflesia tuan-mudae. Also known as bunga pakma, this is the largest flower in the world, often measuring one meter across.

Plank walkways and jungle trails are available for visitors to explore in relative comfort. These were built by the National Park & Wildlife Divison of the Forest Department of Sarawak. There are also two units of chalet, each containing 3 bedrooms and can take up to 6 people. There is also a hostel with four dormitories, each with 16 beds. Campsites are also available for those intending to camp outside. Following the park trails, visitors can visit two view points, located an hour and 1 1/2 hours away, or trek up to Gunung Gading which is 3 hours away one way. Even further away is Gunung Perigi, which is 5 hours though the jungle one way. This may require camping overnight, although it is not advisable to camp.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
