Fullerton Road

Fullerton Road is a road in downtown Singapore. It connects the Connaught Drive roundabout with Collyer Quay, across the Anderson Bridge. The road was named after Fort Fullerton, which was built there in 1829, but demolished in 1873 for the construction of the General Post Office building, which itself was demolished in 1925, to make way for present Fullerton Building, which also served as the General Post Office from the time of its completion in 1928 until 1997, when it was renovated to become the present Fullerton Hotel.
