Pasir Ris MRT Station (GPS: 1.37311, 103.94926; CP1/CR5/EW1) is the terminus of the East-West Line of the Singapore MRT in Pasir Ris. It is an above-ground station which began operations on 16 December, 1989. The station comprises an island platform with two tracks on either sides. The next station after it is the Tampines MRT Station (EW2).
Pasir Ris is located in Singapore Postal District 17.
As part of the improvement plan for the Singapore MRT, the Paris Ris MRT Station was retrofitted with half-height platform screen doors as added security on 1 November 2009. A future expansion will turn the station into an interchange for the Cross Island Line main line and branch station to the Cross Island Line Punggol Extension, expected to be operational in 2032.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
