Kamphaeng Phet Province จังหวัดกำแพงเพชร

Kamphaeng Phet Province จังหวัดกำแพงเพชร is a province in the Northern Region of Thailand. The Ping River, one of the sources of the Chao Phraya River, flows through the province which is mostly flat except for its western reaches, which are mountainoous.

Kamphaeng Phet Province covers 8,607 sq km (3,323 sq mi) and has a population of 726,000 people (2012 estimate). It ranks 22nd in size and 35th in population. It is bordered by Sukhothai Province to the north, Phitsanulok Province to the northeast, Phichit Province to the east, Nakhon Sawan Province to the south, and Tak Province to the west.

Kamphaeng Phet Province comprises 11 districts, or amphoe, including the provincial capital Kamphaeng Phet Town, as well as the districts of Sai Ngam, Khlong Lan, Khanu Woralaksaburi, Khlong Khlung, Phran Kratai, Lan Krabue, Sai Thong Watthana, Pang Sila Thong, Bueng Samakkhi and Kosamphi Nakhon. These are subdivided to 78 subdistricts, called tambon, and 823 villages, or muban.
