Nakhon Sawan นครสวรรค์ is a town in Central Thailand. It is the provincial capital for Nakhon Sawan province. Nakhon Sawan has a population of close to 100,000 people. It covers an area that includes Pak Ham Pho and parts of Khwae Yai, Nakhon Sawan Tok, Nakhon Sawan Ok and Wat Sai.

Nakhon Sawan is located 250 kilometers (160 miles) to the north of Bangkok. This is the place where the Ping River and Nan River converge to form the Chao Phraya River. Its location in a valley causes Nakhon Sawan to have one of the highest difference between daytime and night time temperature. To the east of Nakhon Sawan is Bueng Boraphet, the biggest freshwater wetland in Thailand.

How to reach Nakhon Sawan

You can take a mini bus from the Victory Monument in Bangkok. It stops at the Big C supermarket in Nakhon Sawan. The journey costs ฿180 one way and takes about 3 hours.

You can also take the train from Bangkok or Chiang Mai as it stops in Nakhon Sawan.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
