Simplon Pass (Italian: Passo del Sempione) is a mountain pass in Switzerland the Pennine Alps and the Lepontine Alps. It forms an important link between Switzerland and Italy, and by extension, between western Europe with southern Europe.

Simplon Pass is 2,005 m (6,578 ft) above sea level. It is located entirely within Switzerland. The pass has been in used since Roman times and has facilitated the movement of goods and people through the ages.

Napoleon had a road built through the pass in 1800-06. It runs 64 km from Brig in Switzerland to Domodossola in Italy. In the early part of the 20th century, a railway tunnel was built near the Simplon Pass to allow trains going between Switzerland and Italy.
