Outjo, Namibia

Outjo is a small town in the Kunene region, in central northern Namibia. It has a population of just around 6,000 people (2011 estimate). The town is best known as the main gateway to Etosha National Park.

Outjo was founded by Colonel Theodor von Leutwein in 1897 as a German military outpost.
