Casablanca is a city in Valparaíso Province, in Chile. It is about 30 minutes southeast of Valparaíso and 50 minutes northwest of Santiago on Route 68. The city covers 952.5 sq km (367.8 sq mi) and has a population of 16,000 people (2012 estimate).

The name Casablanca means "white house". The city is renowned for its white wine grapes, the most popular being the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonney. Viticulture is a relatively recent economic activity in the Casablanca Valley, with the first vineyards dating to the 1980s. Today Casablanca has close to four thousand hectares planted with grapes with the largest area taken by the Chardonney.
