Special Highlights of Science Centre

  1. Snow City
As its name suggests, this is a climate-controlled environment simulating a winter environment. Snow City covers a 3,000 sq meter area within Science Centre complex. The Snow Chamber, where you can experience snow and ice, covers 1,200 sq meters of the area. Here, the temperature is maintained at a constant -5°C.

Perhaps the most popular attraction at Snow City is the Snow Slope. This is a 60-meter slope where you can go snowtubing. Other attractions include the Ice Bar, Hot Chocolate Bar, Polar Bear Gallery, Santa's Cabin and Little Penguin's Snowy Children Playground.

Admission fee to Snow City is for adults $14 for one hour and $27 for two hours, for children 3-16 years it is $14 for one hour and $22 for two hours. Senior adults aged 55 years and above enjoy a discount of $2. No cameras and video cameras are allowed inside the Snow Chamber. See also the Value Packages under Admission to Science Centre.
  2. Omni-Theatre
This is an IMAX movie theatre within the Science Centre complex. Opened in 1987, it is presently the only IMAX dome theatre in Singapore. The 5-storey dome screen provides an exciting viewing experience not found in conventional theatres.

Admission fee to just the Omni-Theatre is $10 for adults, $7 for children. Senior citizens aged 55 and above pay $8 but only during weekdays. For the admission price, you get to watch a 40-minute IMAX movie. See also the Value Packages under Admission to Science Centre.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
