Arcos de la Frontera is a town in the province of Cádiz, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. The town covers 527.54 sq km (203.68 sq mi) and has a population of 31,000 people (2012 estimate).

Archaeological evidence shows that the area of Arcos de la Frontera has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The Romans also left traces of their presence here. As with elsewhere in Andalusia, the town was ruled by the Moors until it was taken over by the Christians in 1254 under Alfonso the Wise of Castile. It was the frontier town during Spain's 13th century warfare with the Moors.
