Coleraine is a town on the mouth of the River Bann, in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. An affluent town, Coleraine has the highest property prices in Northern Ireland. The town of 24,000 people is some 88 km (55 mi) from Belfast.

Coleraine is a pretty, though quiet, town. It does not have much of a nightlife compared to neighbouring towns such as Portrush and Portstewart. The town it at the widest bridgeable part of the River Bann, which is a quarter mile across at Coleraine.

Visiting Coleraine

Coleraine is one of the stops on the Belfast-Derry train line. The train from Great Victoria Street station in Belfast takes about 80 minutes to reach the Coleraine train station.
