Johor Bahru Eastern Dispersal Link Expressway / JB EDL (E14)

Start here
Johor Bahru Eastern Dispersal Link Expressway, also known by the acronym JB EDL, is the extension of the North-South Expressway Southern Route (E2). It carries the expressway code of E14. Located to the east of the Johor Bahru city centre, this 8.1-kilometer (5.0-mile) expressway was completed in 2012 at a cost of RM1 billion. The elevated expressway runs parallel to the at-grade Jalan Pasir Pelangi and Jalan Stulang Darat. For most of its route, it is an elevated highway above Jalan Pasir Pelangi. Construction on the JB EDL began on 1 October, 2007, and the expressway opened to the public on 1 April, 2012.

The opening of the Johor Bahru Eastern Dispersal Link Expressway enables motorists heading for the Sultan Iskandar CIQ Complex to bypass having to go through the congested city centre. Distances on the JB EDL is calculated from the CIQ complex. In the opposite direction, motorists not heading to the CIQ complex exits the expressway to the Johor Bahru Inner Ring Road.
