Jalan U Thant is a leafy avenue in the
Ampang Hilir neighbourhood of
Kuala Lumpur. It is a no-through road with one end connected to
Jalan Tun Razak. The road forms junctions with Jalan Taman U Thant, Jalan Madge, Persiaran Ampang Hilir, Jalan Penggawa, Jalan Pegawai and Lengkungan U Thant.
Jalan U Thant was named after
Thant, who was the 3rd Secretary-General of the United Nations. He is the first non-European to hold the position, and he also held the office for a record 10 years and 1 month from 1961 to 1971. Jalan U Thant is one of the main locations for embassies in Kuala Lumpur.
