Wat Bupparam (GPS: 18.78797, 98.99833; Thai: วัดบุพพาราม ) is one of the bigger temples in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is located on Thapae Road, to the east side of the Old City. The entrance of the temple compound from the road has a gate with Asoka lions at the top.

Wat Bupparam dates back to 1489. It was built by King Sra Muang Kaeo on the site of his great grandfather King Tilokarat's palace. This was where Chao Kawila began his ritual circumambulation of the city, to take over it from the Burmese who had occupied Chiang Mai the preceding two hundred years. The library was built by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of His Majesty's reign.
